The course, which began in October 2024, involves both curricular and extracurricular activities and brings together students and teachers from multiple disciplines. Digital learning materials were provided via the <strong>EIT Manufacturing Academy<\/strong> platform.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Water chemistry labs<\/strong> involved testing and analyzing water samples.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>FLL (First Lego League) robotics team<\/strong> aligned their work with the boat project. These students:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Learn 3D printing and electronics,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practice work safety,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assemble the boat using sensors and electronics,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct performance and sensor tests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This group primarily works outside regular class hours, engaging in intensive hands-on sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Integrated Learning Participants<\/strong><br>A wider group of <strong>73 eighth-grade students<\/strong> engages with the project through regular school subjects. Their contributions include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chemistry and physics experiments related to water,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use of the built boat for data collection and analysis,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integration of project-related topics into their everyday lessons.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Participants and Gender Balance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, <strong>87 students<\/strong> are involved in the pilot: 35 girls and 52 boys. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This pilot not only introduces cutting-edge skills like 3D printing, electronics, and environmental science but also encourages creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
