On June 5, 2025, the Robotics School participated in the annual “Green Ideas Festival 2025”, organized by the Office of the President of the Republic of Lithuania to commemorate World Environment Day.

During the festival, the “Green Ideas Fair”, educational workshops and various activities were held in the courtyard of the Presidential Palace. One of the most outstanding attractions of the festival was the demonstration of the “Sailtunities” water drone… in the fountain in the courtyard of the Presidential Palace! 💧🚤

The drone created by the Robotics School is a prototype of a mobile research station, created together with international partners with the support of the Erasmus+ program. The drone’s goal is to encourage students to be interested in engineering, environmental research and sustainability. All project results are freely available and can be used for educational purposes.
The water drone not only withstood the flow of the Presidential Fountain, but also received great attention.
Students competed one after another for the opportunity to try out the drone control. Older students were interested in technical solutions, while the younger ones were delighted with the emotions and wet splashes.
It was a great honor to present this invention to the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, who not only inspected the drone, but also tried out its control.
This day became a great example of how technology, education and environmental protection can go hand in hand.
